The course provided an introduction to landscape theory from a European perspective with a focus on the UNESCO frameworks and definitions.
CROSS-CULTURAL PERSPECTIVES ON CULTURAL HERITAGE, SUSTAINABILITY AND THE ENVIRONMENT (Latvian Academy of Culture, 2024)​
The course provided theoretical knowledge, a critical overview of contemporary debate topics within cultural heritage and sustainable development and analysis of real-life case studies and guidelines following the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals agenda and UNESCO's Culture 2030 Indicators.
ETHNOGRAPHY: CREATIVE AND PRACTICAL METHODOLOGIES FOR THE STUDY OF CULTURE AND SOCIETY (Latvian Academy of Culture, 2023-2024) ​
The course introduced multiple and up-to-date ethnographic methodologies such as sensory, visual, virtual, political ethnography and autoethnography. The course also includes learning the art of conducting ethnographic fieldwork and writing field notes.

SOCIAL MOVEMENTS AND CULTURE (Latvian Academy of Culture, 2019-2020)
The course aimed to introduce Erasmus+ students to the literature on Social Movement Theory and key anthropological theories and concepts that were applied to the study of real-life case studies such as the Singing Revolution (1987-1991) in the Baltic countries.
